Introduction to the Accuplacer
The Accuplacer is a standardized achievement test that measures your academic skills in English, mathematics, and reading. Accuplacer or Computerized Placement Test (CPT), as it is sometimes referred, was developed by the College Board with the help of committees of college professors, extensive literature review, and pilot tests. By assessing your ability levels, the Accuplacer helps to determine the English, mathematics, and reading courses most appropriate for you as you enter college.
This online course is designed around the content objectives of the Accuplacer. The instruction sections and sample tests directly relate to the information provided by the College Board's Web site, www.collegeboard.com. Although this course is complete in terms of test preparation, there is an obvious need for prior completion of high school course work upon which the Accuplacer depends.
